I play guitar both electric and acoustic. My inspiration is John Mayer, he has made me pursue my songwriting and playing. His lyrics are like a journel to my life. Every song that he writes i feel has somewhat of a connection to my own personal life. Whenever i feel stressed out or alone i put one of his CD 's in and i feel as though nothing else in the world could bother me at that moment in time...i don 't think that any person could possibly have such a respect for him as a musician than i do...every time i see him perform it amazes me...my friends call me crazy but once i traveled to Houston Texas to see him in concert with my cousin...and i live in NJ lol...but it was worth it to see john mayer in concert...and an added bonus was that my cousin and i both caught his picks lol...I hope to someday be as great a singer songwriter and as John Mayer.Without a doubt he has had the biggest impact on me more then any other musician in my life. I would love to just sit and talk with him, he is such an entertaing person, I 'm sure there wouldn 't be a dull moment. I would also love it if we could play "Daughters " together. With that i would be set for life...i couldn 't ask for anything more.

I first found out about John Mayers music when skipping through one of the musicvideostands standing in a Kaufhof (Brand of an mall in Germany) mediacentre.

I saw "Your body is a Wonderland " and was instantly hooked. The way he sings to this girl, her entire attention focused on him. Exactly how i would have wanted to confess to a girl i like. I instantly bought the album, and was done for.

You know to that point i´ve played guitar for about 2 years (now it´s getting five this summer) and i´ve played pretty rough songs so far. But John Mayer helped me to discover the great side of acoustic music. Not just pure chord strumming but real guitarplaying with singlenotes a.s.o. (ok ok, i stop... i´m getting too technical).

Also his eguitar skills are top class. And his lyrics are also very good developed.

I hope to be as good as him someday, but this will take time (*god damn you for making "neon "!). What i want to say is i´m a big fan. John Mayer has become one of my musical idols and i hope he will be in our ears a long time to come, just like Eric Clapton is and was. So far i´ve never been able to get to an concert of him in germany, which is a pity.

ok, im not one of those #1 fans because i just became a fan of his after watching his tv show "john mayer has a tv show " on vh1. i kind of fell in love with his humor and he 's totally hot! i mean, who cant agree with that. i finally decided to take a second look into his music since i remember one of the song he sang "you body is a wonderland ". (phh! who doesnt?) well, i totally fell in love with his music because they kind of calm and easy to listen too apart from all those rap and r&b i always listen too. yeah, i like pop music but all i hear is rap or r&b or hip hop or some kind of black-ish music. sorry for being racist. So now im obsess about John Mayer. im going to buy his latest cd(maybe, hehe). oh yeah, hes a great guitar player too, it mades me want to try playing a guitar too. ok, im going to end this with a I LOVE YOU, JOHN MAYER!! Make another show!!!!!!!!!!

John Mayer is just the coolest singer ever, I mean in this whole entire planet. I like him because first of all his music Rocks. You could listen to his music and never ever get sick of it. there 's days you feel alone, but putting on john mayer music makes you feel like you have a friend. his music enters my soul in a wonderful way and alot of artist don 't really do that to me. so that is the reason why I like and love John Mayer. I 'ts amazing how he rigts all these songs with all these wonderful meanings. And to all the John Mayer Fans You kick ass!!!!love peace and chicken grease.

I use to hate when my boyfriend would put on his John Mayer cd in my car. I was so into Maroon 5 that they were all I wanted to listen to. When me and my boyfriend founf out that Maroon 5 and John Mayer were coming to our hometown we were so excited something for both of us to enjoy. When I went to the concert something strange happened after the Maroon 5 part of the concert I thought I'd be bored out of my mind but instead I loved John he was so great. Since then I've been hooked. Even more so when me and my now ex broke up this past September. I looked to Comfortable for help and it kept me in good spirits. Even though the break up was bad I have one thing to thank my ex for, introducing me to John!

I have been a John Mayer fan for the longest time. My real turning point would probably be the first time I heard Comfortable. I 've had my heart broken recently and John kept me sane. Just hearing his lyrics allowed me know that there really are decent guys out there that seriously care. That there are sincere men who appreciate women and know not to take advantage of them. Honestly, he puts faith in men back into my life. How can you not adore someone who does that? Every song has special meaning and they are so easy to relate to just as he is. I love seeing a down to earth musician especially in this day and age. One thing I can 't resist is his guitar face. It 's adorably awesome. His guitar playing has so much passion behind it that you can tell that he loves what he does, and that he 's not just a product. More then anything, I would love to see him and to just thank him for all that he has done for me these past few months

the first time i heard john mayer was on the radio. he had just come out with "your body is a wonderland" and to be honest, i wasn't that in love with it like other people were. it wasn't until 2003 that i learned to appreciate his music. i mean REALLY appreciate his music. i guess i was more close minded then. i find myself listening to john mayer about 10 times a day! i've finally gotten all of his albums and i never get sick of them! john mayer is a great inspiration, for everyone, and his style of song-writing is like no others. that's why so many people like him. you can relate to all of his songs. it's just like reading a journal entry, but with a lot more heart in it. not one of his songs are dull and he's got this different guitar technique that throws you off the wall. he's just insanely talented and this gorgeous guy who knows he's the shit. he'll always inspire me.

when i first heard john mayer it was when no such thing came out and i was lying on my bed and i heard it on the radio. i had no idea who it was but i loved the song i memerized every word after listening to it once! next i heard and saw YBIAW and i was like "who is this guy?he's kind of cute".then i heard and saw why georigia and i fell in L-O-V-E with him and the i finally discovered that he was the one that made no such thing.i bought heavier things after hearing BTMB and i loved it. this year i finally bought room for squares and inside wants out i listened to it for months!i never bought it before cuz i hated the shirt he was wearing on the cover of room for squares;i was embarassed to buy it.but now i let my love for john be well known,i talk about him constantly.im happy to say im Obsessed with John Mayer!!!!!

I have been a fan for a little over two years now, John's music is like no other, I have never been so addicted to a performer this way before, his music grabs ahold of you and takes me to another place when I listen to it. The awesome thing about John is he is as real of a person, in person as he is in his songs. I have been lucky enough to meet him twice and let me tell you he is sooooo sweet and humble. I cannot wait till he comes out with a new cd and I definetly cannot wait till his next tour. John Mayer is one of a kind and I know his music will never die beacuse he has a awesome and real fanbase!!!!!

i feel as if i have a such a conection with john. i think that is why so many people like him. everyone can relate to everything he says. his music and his lyrics are so honest and beautiful. in august i went to one of his concerts and that was one of the coolest things i have ever done. to see him live is amazing. if you haven 't been to a concert, your really missing out. john mayers music is a huge part of my life, i am always listening to his c.ds they have such a calming effect and it makes me feel like i am not the only one in the world with problems. it 's great to know that other fans feel the same way!

ah! the FIRST time i heard john mayer was in.. the VERY beginning of September 2002. possibly August.. but anyways.. i thought "i wanna scream at the top of my lungs" was SO funny! it made me laugh a LOT. and at that time, my brother did a pretty accurate impersonation. [before i knew his voice really well] anyways! i went home and downloaded it, and listened to No Such Thing over and over.. and over. it was the ONLY thing i listened to, and i wouldn't stop listening until "i wanna scream at the top of my lungs" wasn't funny.. but really neat. yeah, i got his cd that month. and funny thing the lady who sold me the cd said she saw him in concert the week before and he was AMAZING. i put the cd in and was SHOCKED. it was gorgeous, and i understood EVERYTHING he sung about. it was crazy. i soon became obsessed, and it was ALL about john from then on. i FINALLY saw him in person the may of the next year...2003. eh, MAY FIRST 2003! it was jazz fest, so he was constricted to an hour, and you could tell he wanted to so much more. but still, it killed me. my friend and i scooted through the crowd and i jumped up and down and HE LOOKED AT ME! :D oohhh jeaaloouuuussyyy. but in the show, he mentioned about a new cd and played Something's Missing and i believe Bigger Than My Body? i really remember Something's Missing.. but anyways! i prayed EVERY DAY in religion for that cd to come out, and be just as beautiful and wonderful as Room For Squares. well EH! come November!! and it's like ah! JOHN IS COMING TO MY TOWN! yes! RIGHT BY MY BIRTHDAY! i remember.. tickets.. January 17 were on sale. i told my parents this was the BEST present idea in the world. so they got them for me like the WEEK after they were on sale.. not bad seats. :D yeah, he came on stage and i DIED. i totally bit my finger.. it was totally nasty. : haha anyways! i CRIED when hearing Hummingbird.. it was scarily beautiful. i wear my shirt all the time too! :D it's so awesome! john mayer plays all the time.. ok that's my love in a nut shell.

the first time i remember hearing john mayer was when no such thing came out. i was going to a soccer game and i couldnt get this song out of my head. however i never really started to like him until this year when i seen him on a talk show. i thought he was hilarious, and i decided to download some of his songs. well, i listened to that cd straight through for like 2 weeks. then i bought any given thursday and listened to that even longer. next i got heavier things as a gift. i was addicted. i went to his concert here in toronto in august and he was amazing. nobody except for one friend understands why i love john mayer, and thats only because she went to the concert with me. i dont mind, they dont have to. why i like him so much is he calms me down. i put in a cd whenever im stressed out and his great music and voice just soothes me. i love his guitar playing too.....just chilling. im proud to be a john mayer fan, and its good to know so many other people are too!
