The first song I heard was Your Body Is a Wonderland. I didn't like it. But the more I heard it the more I wanted to hear it again. I was afraid to buy the CD for just that song, because so many times you don't always like every song. I finally gave in, and stopped at a Walmart, of all places, (it was the closest store!) to buy Room For Squares. All they had, though, was Any Given Thursday, so I bought that. I made myself listen to the beginning of it instead of skipping straight to the 2nd CD to hear YBIAW. I am glad I did, because I\'ve been hooked ever since. What I like most about him is that he truly has talent. Unlike so many of the so called stars out there today....it takes more than just a good voice for me to like someone's music. JM's guitar playing leaves me breathless! He's that good!! That's what grabs me!

Why am I a John Myaer fan?...Well, there are so many reasons why I am. First off, the man is so damn gorgeous and sexy!!! He is so flawless..there is nothing about him that I don't like. I love those lips. And that voice...DAMN,,,it just melts my heart to hear him sing. I wish that he would sing to me someday. There are so many songs of his that I just love such as "No Such Thing", "Your Body is a Wonderland", \"Love Song for No One\", "83", "Bigger Than My Body", "Come Back to Bed", "Daughters", and \"Only Heart". There are so many more out there tho and I am SO sure that there will be many more to add to this list. I recently saw him in concert and god, he is so sexy in person!!! I did NOT want the night to end. I was so sad when it was all over, but so damn happy because my dream to go see him concert finally came true!!!! Tried to meet him, but was unfortunately unsuccessful. But no matter what, I will meet John Mayer someday, and if he comes to Boise again or to a city near Boise, I will go in a heartbeat and try my best to get those backstage passes!!! If you are reading this John, I just want to let you know that you make me strong, you are talented and gorgeous, and I am so glad you came into my life!!! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

John isn't like those manufactured artists that come out and make it on image and style alone. He makes music that's just supersaturated with meaning and truth. He's a great artist that deserves all the recognition he gets - whether it's rap stars confessing that they listen to Room For Sqaures in their car or if it's winning a grammy - this dude deserves it all. I hope that he makes music for a really long time and never loses his keen sense of capturing a moment, writing music for it, and then fitting in the most perfect lyrics with just the right words. Thanks, John, for being just so... kick-ass;)

Not only is John Mayer the most gorgeous man alive, but the most talented as well. I\'ve never heard any other artist that i can listen to over and over again and still love every song and every lyric. His music is heartfelt and amazing, he is amazing. He has lyrics that fit whatever i\'m going through in life, and listening to John makes me happy. I saw his cd at Borders, thought he was cute, and bought it, and wow i\'m glad I did! (Room for Squares, that is) You know you love an artist when you don\'t skip any songs on their cds, and for me, that\'s John. Plus he\'s an amazing guy! His personality and sense of humor are just incredible. And not to mention he\'s beautiful! Well, I think that\'s about all...thanks!

The first song i heard of JM's was YBIAW..i hated it and thought it was cheesy =P. I thought all of his songs were like that. But when BTMB came out i really loved it..i bought his cds and ALL the songs were so good! Never heard anything like it..and i even started to like YBIAW. John Mayer is the best!!

I love John Mayer because he gets me through life , and he inspires me to want to live life the way it should be .. My life is filled with soo much crap its unbelievable ! And even my little sister was diagnosed with cancer ! John helps me get through the day , and my life .. If i ever get the chance to talk to him again , i would want to tell him that him and his music means sooooo much to me , and that he saves my life .. everyday! I love you john because you make me a better person, and you make my life a better place , so thank you sooo much for that ! i also want to thank Ina Jacobs for making my dream come true ! because you brougght me to my remedy ! :)

I love John Mayer because he writes his own music and doesnt try to be anything that he's not. he doesn't let all the fame go to his head and seems really sensible. I can listen to his CD all the way through and i love all the songs!! I JUST LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!!!! none of my friends like him and they think im crazy cause i like him but his music just makes sense and i can relate to a lot of it!

hey everyone im glad to other people besides myself like mayer. i mean ppl try to compare him to other people but you just cant. hes an amazing guitarists and means everyword ull every hear him say and they r nuthin but awsome quotes that come out of his mouth. when you see him play sum SRV solo your stopa nd go wow. and when u hear him cover stuff u can see how good of a guitarists he is. when sum1 can do that u cant imagine wut they themselves cud come up with and mayer dusnt let us down. his solos are amazing just set into place and thats not an easy thing to do. his music has inspired me to play guitar and after 2 moths im better than kdis i kno who have been playin for 2 years! yeah cuz i wanted to learn his songs so bad and worked so hard at it and it got me smooth on his stuff and just helped me with my own stuff. i started with not myself as my goal of his but then it turned into neon and now i just kno every single song by the guy every second and they r the best things i love to play. stuff u never heard or not on records r things u shud listen to also they are amazing songs and live he rips sum nasty solos. ive been play now for 6 months and i can do a lot of his stuff and hes been playin for mayb 10 years or so more but wutever hes dedicated to guitar and thats wut u need u dont need sum1 who just did it got ppl with them and just plays. hes so passionate about his music and thats wut i like about him the most is his personal style u cant deny it and u cant blame any1 for loving it. John Mayer,,,dont a lot for me u and bound to do more...

i have to say that i like john mayer because his music is his own...most artists, you can categorize their music in a certain genre whether it be rock, alternative, hip-hop, rap, r&b..whatever you get the point...but mr. john, he\'s his own style. you can\'t really categorize it anywhere..his guitar playing is phenomenal and for those of you who know how to play the guitar, you really know what i mean cuz the chords of his songs aren\'t anything i\'ve ever seen!!! he\'s an awesome lyricist and everything just blows up when he puts his melodies with those lyrics...i could go on but i see that most people already have....

hey! alright, it may sound like im explaining myself, but read the whole thing, itll help you understand much, much more. although never seeing john in concert, he means so much to me. let me tell you why. i am only 14 years old, and i was diagnosed with marfans syndrome when i was 11. i had to have spinal surgery, i found out i had heart problems, all at the same time in my life. it totally just ruined me. then i got bipolar, i started cutting myself, it was horrible. if that wasnt bad enough, we moved, i didnt know ANYBODY. it was hell. after moving, my mom couldnt keep a job, and we moved back. still extrememly depressed.. i was lost in life. i had basically all E\'s. Now, a year later from moving back, I am a 4.0 student, and you know what helps me out a lot? John Mayer. Obviously, all of you are probably all JM fans, but if not, if you just happened to stumble onto this page, now is a good time to start listening to his music. He is so expressive with all of his words, hes so talented, his voice.. gave me like a reason to live. Its so beautiful. I listen to him every single day over and over and over and he just helps me out so much. I would love to go to a concert soon, but my family is EXTREMELY broke, so its not going to happen. So i know im not the \"biggest fan\" or whatnot, but I Love John. He means sooo much to me. Hes beautiful.. and for all of you that love him too, im with you, and keep on posting why you like him because i like reading them :-)

Hey everyone! just to let you know I'm obsessed with JM!! I loved him since the first time I heard his song "no such thing" on the radio. He is so cute and is the man of my dreams. When I listen to his music it calms me, and soothes me. I can listen to his cds over and over again, and I won't get tired of them. I love his voice, its soo lovely. I sing his songs everywhere, and he has now interested me in the guitar. HES SOO SEXY!! I hope to see him in concert, It would be simply heaven!! !!John I love you always and forever!!

I love John because whenever I hear him sing, play the guitar, or even someone talk great about john, I get this huge smile on my face. because he is SO awesome. When I read posts on the forum, I smile because it makes me so happy to know that this many people love John just as much as I do. John is SOOO talented and even though I have no idea how to play the guitar, I pretend I do (yeah I'm a dork) to all of John's songs. And when i'm driving (i have a twelve disc cd changer and 6 of the cds are johns!) I DANCE and I know everyone in the world is laughing when they see me, but I don't care. because I love JOHN!

i enjoy j.m because of his tremendeous talent and his capability to infuse reality into everyone of his songs. never have i felt so overwhelmed and wowed after a concert. i literally had to pick my jaw off the groud. he actually told the audience "[he] hoped he didn't bore us during [his] 15min guitar solo." this man is talented.....though i may not agee with all the shameless plugs he does...i love his music none-the-less. j.m invest a bit of hope in todays horrible music scene! gotta thank him for that. he has proven that there is still talent lying out tere but unfortunatly ppl like britney and justin are sadly considered music icons of our days......but that is why j.m makes it all better. he was a singer/songwritter that was kept secret wayyyyy to long!

I accidently saw John Mayer in concert at the 2002 Beale Street Music Fest. My cousin's husband said that the Budweiser stage was where Kid Rock was playing. I quickly noticed that the fans were not Kid Rock fans and that the guys on stage weren't the band who was suppose to play before Kid Rock. However, I liked what I was hearing and my cousin and I thought John was cute. When he broke out into "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" I fell in love because any guy that will sing that song has my respect. I have been a John Mayer fan ever since and I look forward to falling in love with his music all over again next month when he plays Memphis.

why I love JM? let me count the ways. I started listening to his music in 3/03 after I broke up with my guy of 6 years, and I can honestly say that without JM, I don't think I would have made it through. Now it's been 11 months, and I've seen him 3 times in concert and going again in March (yay!). He's just been a touchstone and his lyrics mean so much to me. Plus he's so cute and yes, his lips are to-die-for! So I love JM because he's so talented at putting his feelings into words, he's a great stage performer (his song introductions at the detroit show in November were so funny and who could forget the breaking-into-a justin-timberlake-song in Bristow, VA, so cool!), and he helped me survive a really sad part of my life. Now I can appreciate his optimistic songs!

I loved no such thing when it first came out, but I wasn’t really concerned about who the artist behind the song was. And when your body is a wonderland came around and I heard it was from the same artist, I, for some odd reason, hated it (very hard to believe now). but then one night, the music video came on for it. for lack of a better word, I was mesmerized! He was so cute and you could tell he was so passionate about his music. I became an instant fan and still am to this day. That same night, I downloaded every single one of his songs, and the next morning I went out to buy both of his cds (inside wants out, room for squares.) I had the chance to see him in concert this summer and he was amazing. I love everything about him, from his different but very, very hot look down to every single one of his songs. i’m a very proud john mayer fan (and have been for over a year now) and I can’t wait to see what’s to come of him next!! :)

I saw John Mayer over the summer with the Counting Crows and I didn\'t care for the counting Crows at all. I went in as a John Mayer fan that would reconize his music and such, but I walked out a complete fan. I fell for the cute faces he made while he was singing, because you could see that he put all his heart into it. So ever since then, whenever yhe comes close to my area...I am there. I\'m totally in love with him, he is such a great artist that there is nobody that can compare to him. IN JOHN MAYER I TRUST!!!

hey everyone who loves john! i just havta say not only is he amazing..but im the third trish on this list! whats up with that!? neway john mayers soo talented at the guitar, writing lyrics, singing and in general being a cool guy. John seems to be really down to earth and someone admirable because he isn\'t full of himself, like he said he\'ll never be one of those stars on the red carpet..and i think thats important because it separates the ppl in hollywood that are using the talent they started out with vs. those who are way too much in the media and not keeping true to why they\'re really successful. the best part of when john performs is when its just him and his electric (especially on conan o\'brien) keep playing your music..touring in toronto canada and being an amazing musician!

Every girl probably likes the lyrics in YBIAW but I have to say, it is not my favorite song, musically. The great thing about John is that he really makes great records that are enjoyable to listen to all the way through and that the songs he has churned out since YBIAW get better and better and better. I love his new album Heavier Things and love all the songs on that one, great car cd. what else to say? The boy is a great lyricist, musician, and singer and also, (John has a cuteness about him I haven't seen before, brown wavy hair and eyes, cupids bow lips, and I love how tall he is) I'm thinking of erasing this, it sounds silly.

Okay, I'll try not to make this paragraph TOO long. I believe I completely fell in love with John was when I saw him in concert with the Counting Crowes. I mean, I liked his songs NST and YBIAW. They were great, but when I saw him be completely himself, singing his heart out on the stage, I fell madly in love with the man. He is incredible. He plays guitar immaculately well. INCREDIBLE lyrics that touch my heart and make me wonder how in the hell does he make these great lyrics. I'll have to say his appearance on stage and his cuteness on stage made me incredibly in love with him. The hee-haw dance is the most adorable thing ever and I love his face when he sings. UGH! I can't get enough of this guy...I love it when John is just John on stage singing his heart out.

I love JM mainly because of his lyrics. They are so deep and you can tell they aren't some pop singer's la la la crapy ass music. His lyrics are so sexy like: One pair of candy lips and your bubble gum tongue. C'mon who says stuff like that...it's so incredibly sexy. That whole song just defines sweet but sexy john. Also his really random lyrics, there are a lot of them: "I played a quick game of chess with the salt and pepper shakers", "That's my plastic in the dirt.","Watching CNN", "Skys are painted colors in the cowboy cliche." Ok, I really want to know what the cowboy's cliche is. He also uses words that really describe what he means and I actually had to look some of them up, where other artists use kindergarden words. For instance: in My Stupid Mouth he says \" And I could see clearly an indelible line was drawn." Well, I had to go out and look up indelible just because he's john mayer and if he knows what indelible means so should I. He also using such random instances in his songs. There will just be lines in the middle of his songs where you're just like "what?!? that was pretty random" but in his songs they really work to his advantage and show people what he really means when he writes all this. When you listen to the songs you just get comepletely calm from the lyrics and the beautiful guitar solos and you just think I wish I had a man who loves life and music and women and love that much. Geez he's so sexy in every single way. He's so descriptive in his lyrics that you just know exactly how he feels about situations that everyone has been in and you just love that he can share that with anyone so immensly well. So, yeah that's pretty much why I love john more than anyone. He really touches my heart and calms me down. I hope he finds true love because I know he wants that most in life.

Alright, I'll try to keep my "reason" from turning into an essay. When I first heard John Mayer on the radio I have no freaking clue who he was. Then I happened to be watching MuchMusic and on comes NST. I was like, "so thats who sings that song!" I am not going to lie and say that I fell in love with John right from th get go. To tell the truth, I was like... okay, just another Sam Roberts or Harry Connick Jr no biggie. I really started to like John when I caught the last twenty minutes "Any Given Thursday". Watching him perform really made me take a second look at him, not because of his ugly-yet-charming-in-a-strange-puppy-dog-kind-of-way. His passion and reserve for nothing other than the now. I actually didn't purchase any CD's until this October when I went to Much and saw him perform for MuchOnDemand and MuchMoreMusic. I researched his music, I paid attention to the media and I started to fall in love with him. I read his lyrics and began to understand that he was a more complex universe than just the average schmoe that jumps on the bandwagon. He has such a way of putting obscurity into perspective and making it seem plausible. He's and introvert and an extrovert. He is perfect and he isn't perfect. He is the man that is constantly working. He doesn't let people dictate who he is. He hates the media, makes his skin crawl. He hates travelling. If he could "warp onto stag from his living room every night" he'd do it. He's sensitive. He knows who he is and laughs about it. Thats what makes him such a likeable musician. He's real, he's a nerd, he has Bacne (pronounced back-nee) for godsake. He admitted to having back acne! That is what I love about John Mayer. His passion, his drive, his overall geekiness. I like John for John.

reasons why i like john mayer? Gee, this'll be tough lol, yeah right, um Putting his UNBELIEVABLY good looks aside, he's just talented right down to his pinky toe. He's an amazing musician both lyrically and melodically and there's just something about him. He has this ability to just put music to thoughts that are thoughts shared by people all around the world, he touches people. The reasons why I love John Mayer He is a great great great did I say great Musician and Guitar player when I first heard "No Such Thing" I fell in Love with him and his music. I am so thankful that a guy like him came along when all you Hearis rap and r n b on the radio and I was getting a little sick of it myself and I am so happy that a talented young artist like him came into my life. he has changed the way I look at things now. He is amazing now matter what anyone says. I get picked on a lot by Guys for liking him but I don't care jsut as long as Johns there to guide me through. The reason I am a huge John Mayer fan is he is an extremely talented guitar player. I recently saw his concert on Austin City Limits with Double Trouble and he is the closest thing to his (and my) idol, Stevie Ray Vaughn that I have ever seen.
That didn\'t even include his amazing songs and lyrics. They are so real, and everyone can relate to them. It\'s like everything I\'ve tried to say but couldn\'t comes through in his songs. And that voice..damn. And he\'s good-looking to top it all off!

I first fell in love with John Mayer's music when I heard his song "Your Body Is A Wonderland\" on the radio. I went and got his "Room for Sqaures" CD and listened closely to his songs and though I'm still mostly blown away by his guitar playing (I take lessons myself), his lirics are just as great to me. Listening to his music truly transports me to other times and different places and, as odd as some may find it, his music ALWAYS makes me feel better no matter what my day has been like or what's going on in my life. I wasn't one to search for his TV appearances, or go looking for sites (etc.), so I knew what he looked like, but I basically never heard him speak or watched him performed or ANYTHING other than hearing his CDs. Then, a few days ago, I went to the Madison Square Garden show (on 11/24/2003 to be exact) and now I'm totally "Mayer-Crazed"!! I think he's SO GREAT -- so very talented and truly inspiring and not at all bad to look at either! Yup - I think he's HOT! Anyway, these are only a FEW of the many many reasons why I'M a John Mayer fan! I'm sure by the time I post this I'll have a few more, but for now I'll leave it at that! Keep up the good work with the site! You guys are great!!! :-)

As a 25 year old girl, how could I not relate in such a huge way to John Mayer's lyrics? He always says just what my heart feels, but I don't know how to express. He's a brilliant songwriter,lyricist, and the more I get to know about him the more mysteriously alluring I find him to be. I've never heard songs written with so much heart, and I've worked in music and radio for my entire adult life so far...John is like the little treasure you want to stash away just for yourself, but you can't help pulling it out to admire it and to show it to others. John's music makes my rainy Seattle days gorgeous and "comfortable."

And I hated him because of the lyrics were sounded so vulgar, or in my country, Indonesia, we called it taboo. but it was before I listened carefully over and over again as it played on the radio every single day. it became sweet, romantic, amazing, not to mention the sound of the guitar that just hipnotized me. Why Do I Like John? Well first off i heard his song 'No Such Thing' when i was living in Qatar, i had just moved there from Canada and was having a hard time dealing with all this moving crap. So when i heard John i fell in love with his voice, his looks and his music. I wanted the John Mayer Cd soooo bad that christmas and i got it :) 2 weeks after christmas i knew everyone word to every song on that cd, i listened to it so much. when i moved back to canada (febuary) no one had really heard of him except me and i was a huge fan. i bought his new cd straight away and i have posters all around my room. when i heard John Mayer was coming to Toronto, i HAD to go! i got tickets and went and i had a permant smile on my face the whole time because he had such an energy when he was performing that it was so indescrible. 2 words: JOHN MAYER!

Where do I begin? I am a 39 year old happily married mother of 2 young girls. I first heard John Mayer when his song \"No Such Thing\" was being played over and over again on the radio. I thought, \"wow, what a great story\" \"what a great voice\". Only to later discover that this was the voice of a very young man. Time went on and a friend invited me to see John Mayer in concert at the Tweeter Center in Chicago. Still I was just a fair weather fan. I secretly was going to see Counting Crows. I have to say, I could only enjoy seeing John play the guitar on the monitor as the sound was so poor I could\'t understand any of the owrds or music. I was a little disappointed. Still just a fair weather fan. Then for the heck of it, I bought ROOM FOR SQUARES. It took a few times to listen to it to finally hear the lyrics having two children who would rather listen to Radio Disney. I eventually found time to really listen to it on my long journey downtown to work and fell in love with not only the lyrics but the young man singing and playing his heart out. I bought \"Heavier Things\" and look forward to my long commute to work just to relax and listen to these amzingly written songs that have reached down into my own youth and remind me of better days. Unfortunatley for my family, I have become a little obsessed with this georgeous young man with the hypnotizing voice.

What can I say? Well, I\'m from Germany, and the first time I\'ve listened to Johns music was early in the morning before I had to go to school... I watched MTV and YBIAW was on. I first fell in love with Johns voice, I probably never heard such a voice before! It\'s so gorgous! :) It doesn\'t happen very often that from the first listening I can say if a guy is good or not, but John was an exception. I only thought wow I need to hear more of his music! :) As I finally got RfS, I again was pretty amazed! His lyrics - as I heard Great Indoors I was speakless - I love this song. I can really relate to the lyrics and this also doesn\'t happen very often! And his new album is one of the best ones I\'ve ever heard!!!! And ok... OK! I LOVE JOHN MAYER!!! That\'s all there is to it. His music has inspired me and given me a new perspective of things in my life. He is the definition of talent, a true beauty, and subject of my happiness. The lyrics to his songs are so personal to him but the topics he sings about are so universal to all other people. I am only 16 but some of his lyrics are totally relevant to my lifes experience. I went to his sydney concert on the 27th of september and it was general admission so i was lucky enough to get a spot right at the front, standing up, right next to the speakers. It was absolutely dynamic. His voice is so clear and he is so passionate about his guitar playing! He performs so well! and he did this cute thing where he was pretending that his guitar was acusing him of cheating!!! He is sooo cheeky and absolutely gorgeous!! Why I love J. Mayer?? Well, I live in Brazil and I remember the first time I saw him, it was on the E! cover of the Grammy awards and he was singing "No Such Thing". When I heard that song I fell in love and tried to memorize his name to search for his songs on internet. And this way I discovered "83" and couldn't resist to the other songs. Every new thing that I found out about him make my day, every new lyric that I read I got more and more amazed by his talent. It's wonderful the way he expresses himself in his lyrics without making it too personal, in a way that everybody can (an does!) relate to his songs. The way he talks about male insecurities, about love, lonelyness, about being better and better... it's supernatural. And of course, he's so cute and charming, with that lovely voice and when he plays his guitar, oh my God!! I could marry him if he wanted to, haha!! There aren't many fans of him here in Brazil, but now "Bigger than my body" is on the soundtrack of a new soap-opera here and me and all the other fans really hope that many other people will get to know him and love him too. I really, really hope that with this he'll come here to concert! I can't even wait for this day to come... It will be like a dream coming true... :) Anyway, for the ones who don't know much about him, please GET TO KNOW THIS GUY, he's unbelievably gifted, it's impossible not to love him!

Hi. I've been reading these for a while, and I have come to the point where I can't resist putting up my own, especially after seeing what Wendy and Helena said about the Brisbane concert - 'cos I was 3RD ROW CENTRE!!!!!!!!!! I'm so sorry - I just had to do that - I know, I suck, I'm gloating, but it was just so amazing. And I promise I was one of those people who was there from the early morning, not the nasty pusher-inner type. Quite frankly, it was the best hour and a half of my life. I've never been so entertained (or wanted to jump a guy so badly, hehehe)... My friend introduced me to John when she was just in the first stages of getting to love him, and before you knew it, I'd reached the same point of obsession as the rest of these 'fan-reason' people. I love his naturalness; I love the way he puts things, so honestly and aptly, so that your mouth falls open and you want to tell the nearest person, 'My God! That's exactly how I feel!'. I love the way he sings and talks about women, I love the way he plays a guitar, I love the way he writes, I love his humour (my giddy aunt, he's so hilarious, I spend half my time laughing about things I remember he's said), I love the way (someone's already mentioned this) that he\'s goodlooking, but doesn't care about all that, and is so utterly himself. I love his hair :) ... I could carry on with these 'I love the way's for some time, but I'd think I'd better wind up, as I'm starting to hyperventilate. Wow, what\'s not to like? I first really started liking John when I heard "Why Georgia." I couldn\'t get it out of my head. I went out and bought "Room for Squares" and that was it. I became obsessed! I went out and bought "Inside Wants Out" right away and couldn't believe that this was just him and his guitar. Amazing! So much depth and meaning to his music. I also went out and bought both CD and DVD versions of "Any Given Thursday" and (if you can imagine) fell in love with him even more. The DVD is awesome! I bought it right before a concert of his in my area that I was unable to go to, thinking that this would be the next best thing. I ended up watching it until 2 in the morning the first night because I couldn't get enough of him! I love all the stories and ad-libs - he is such funny guy. Now, I am totally gone. I am on the net every single day looking up new things about him. I cannot get enough! I don\'t even listen to the radio anymore - only John Mayer is played in my house and car. I listen to him so much in fact, that every time my two year old hears any kind of music he says, "John Mayer singing?" I could be teaching him worse right??? John just absolutely amazes me. He taught himself how to play guitar for one - how brilliant can he be? Reading his interviews is an English lesson - I need a dictionary to get through some of them. He is hot. And what makes him even hotter is that he doesn't care. He just gets up there, does his thing, and doesn't worry about what he looks like. To me that makes him infinitely hotter that someone who puts on all these fancy outfits and tries. He is just hot being himself. That face is model- material. So natural and pefect. I also love his mind and heart, because that is where all these wonderful lyrics and melodies come from. He seems to be a genuinely nice guy who I would LOVE to meet some day. Just to say "Hey, I love your music, it makes me happy every day!" You know how I said I didn't get to go to a concert of his this summer? Well, I decided that the next time he was coming around my area again, I was going, no matter what....well, he is!!! I scored 8throw tickets too, so I am way excited to say the least. I can't wait!!!!! I have read that his concerts are absolutely amazing, and I can't wait to experience it for myself!!!!! It will be one of the best days of my life!!! JM rocks!

I\'ll make this easy, as is humanely possible anyhow...........I love Johns voice, that\'s what first got me to buy his Room 4 Squares album last year.......and I\'ve never looked back. What isnt there to love about the man? His songs are so insightful, full of humour, understanding, and an obvious respect and love for women. Hmm what else? oh and he is so damn cute.......but more then anything it has to be his mind that I love, cause thats where it all comes from. Like Helena up there I was at the Brisbane, Oz concert Sunday 28th Sept(5 rows behind you mate).......and after seeing him live again, its hard to walk away without him being heavily imprinted on the brain.......I want more, I ALWAYS do!!

He\'s an amazing singer, songwriter, guitarist and - let\'s face it - a damn fine looking boy! I went to his Brisbane concert last night. FUCKING AWESOME! Never had so much fun before. Waited for 10 hours and got 5th row centre. And he looked at us and tried to throw us a pick! But damnit, they went too far to the left and right. He\'s just lovely :o) Nuff said

His lyrics are so different from everyone else\'s and always put me in a good mood after a crappy day, or if I feel like being pissed and upset, I can listen to them. Next, his guitar skills are crazy. I always knew he was awesome, then I saw him twice this summer and was completely blown away. He\'s definitely up there with the best of them.. His sense of humor is so whacked out and great, I just love it. Wow. Well I\'ll start by not saying \"I\'m a John Mayer fan for many reasons.\" I am not a John Mayer fan for many reasons, because I am a John Mayer fan for one reason and one reason only. John Mayer is everything I wish to become in life (beside the fact that he is indeed a man). I\'ve never been one to look for a celebrity to idolize, nonetheless find one. But John Mayer is my hero. No questions asked. Then there are all these aspects that feed off of his heroism. Like his abilities. How the man can play \"Neon,\" I\'ll never know. I bought my guitar (my very not cheap guitar, i\'ll add) so that I could start playing and writing. I\'ve had about 8 months practice now. And I haven\'t written a thing. It\'s so fantastic to me how John can write (and play) with such ease. And then there\'s his personality. He has sharp wit, self-confidence, he\'s comfortable on stage, and he\'s not hollywood-ified. It blows my mind how normal this guy is. *lol* I\'m serious. He is truly a great person. I was fortunate enough last summer to know what it is like to talk to John. And he sure makes it easy. So add outstanding talent to a hard-to-find down to earthness, and you\'ve got yourself a true hero. =) He\'s not too sore on the eyes, either.

It was July of 2002, I was at a party and someone slipped R4S into the cd player...When No Such Thing came on there was a groan from everyone in the room...then he said...wait just listen to this...and he played My Stupid Mouth...that was it for me. I went to WalMart on the way home and bought my first JM CD. I listened to it every day, until I found and bought Inside Wants Out...same thing..everyday...then I found Any Given Thursday. I was at the concert here in Dallas when he sang Bigger Than My Body for the first time in concert. I was blown away...a song by him about how I felt about his music...not many artists can pull that off. I have never been really behind a band, or any one kind of music, but this is it...I will listen to anything I can get my hands on now, he\'s amazing to me. I have been listening to the MTV Leaked sight everyday since I found it...and will continue until 09/09 when I will wake up at eight to go buy the new CD. I can\'t even type the words to express the joy I feel when I am laying in bed waiting to slip into dreams and Any Given Thursday is playing....it just right...

I love john for many reasons. But I have to be honest. I just thought he was ok up until about a month ago. Like I liked him, but I didn't own any of his CDs or anything. But then my friend got tickets to one of his concerts, and invited me. So, I gladly went. And after that, I became completely obsessed! Seeing him live is like THE most awesome experience! Since then, I have spent most of my money on his CDs, Any given Thursday, posters, ect. I love all things John. And not only is he a completely awesome guitar play, but he is freaken hilarious and, oh, yeah HOT! You would never think that someone that talented and cute could be (or at least seem) so normal and down to earth. That's another thing that I like about him. He seems real. Like someone you could actually be friends with. Those are the reasons why I adore Johnny! :-D Oh, and I'm trying to learn how to play the guitar, and if I ever feel like giving up I listen to his music or look at a picture of him. I want to work up to his music, so I guess you could say he's my idol too! Ha, I sound like a stalker or something, but I assure I'm not.

I am a John Mayer fan for many, many reasons. Um, this might end up getting long but whatever. First of all, he's an absolutely amazing and accomplished guitarist. Being a musician myself, the first thing I noticed about him was his obvious skill and passion for what he does. It's apparent in the way he plays; just by listening to his music on the radio or watching him perform live, you can tell that he genuinely loves playing the guitar and singing and songwriting. And there's so many layers to his music too. One day, I'll be listening to a song like Why Georgia? and I'll suddenly realize, "Hey! I never noticed that bassline before!" It just absolutely delights me that I discover something new in his music everytime I listen to it. Listening to his music just makes me so happy. It speaks to my soul which is what music should do to you. I can relate to what he says and his lyrics are so truthful and cohesive. He writes incredibly well-written, and witty lyrics which takes an astonishing amount of talent. It's hard to describe how his music makes me feel but I've spoken to many other John Mayer fans (ones that don't just like him for his looks) and they understand why I'm so passionate about him. Also, I just find him to be a very honest and genuine person. You can tell he doesn't put on any airs. What you see is what you get. And who doesn't love that sense of humor? I love reading or watching interviews with him because he always says something that has me rolling on the floor laughing. And I also love that he doesn't have a vocabulary limited to "Um" or "Cool" and other such words. He makes full use of the English language. I end up having to look up words that he uses in his interview, which also proves that he's very, very smart. To be truthful, it wasn't his looks that got me interested in him. When I first heard "No Such Thing" I loved it but I thought, "Man, from his raspy, gravelly voice, he has to be like, 33 years old and ugly". So Wrong! I finally saw his music video on MTV and I was totally floored; he didn't look anything like how I imagined him. He's not ethereally beautiful with supernatural bone structure. He's got very boyish looks. He's dorky, quirky adorable...and I love that! It's refreshing. And that is why I am a John Mayer fan.

I am 12 years old, i'm from Australia and I play the guitar. I suppose the main reason i like john mayer is because of his playing. but he has a fantastic voice as well, and a good songwriting style too. my favourite songs would have to be My Stupid Mouth and No Such Thing (especially the "Inside Wants Out" versions). i doubt i will ever get to see a john mayer concert, but i am looking forward to "Heavier Things". i wonder what the studio version of "Somethings Missing" will be like. anyways, JOHN MAYER ROCKS!!!!!!

Three words "No Such Thing" what can I say, the fist time I heard that song I was like damn I gotta know who this guy is. So I check out his CD "Room For Squares" bought it, and the rest how should we say is history. His music got me threw some really hard times and in all the CD's that I own, I’ve never listen to an album that has such honesty and rhythm as much as “Room For Squares” did. When I found out he made a small record before that I bought that too, and still I was blown away, even buying “Any Given Thursday” still kept me watching and listening to him. I just keep seeing what a great singer/songwriter he was and even more I was sooo taken by the way he play the guitar. I’ve never seen or heard anyone play the guitar like John did. He got me into loving the guitar and taking notice of other songwriters. I even devoted my time into make a site all about him So from here till I die I’ll be a fan of John Mayer as long as he keeps doing what he does best…being him!!!!!

Heya!
I first became a Mayer fan after seeing him perform at the Grammys. I had never really liked him before that moment. He had no fancy sets or effects or anything...he just got up there, him and his guitar. I was SO impressed with his talent and just how humble he came across as. After that, I bought RFS, AGT, and of course, the DVD. I have found that I can relate and really understand so many of his songs. Sometimes you buy an album and only like maybe 4 songs on the whole thing, but on John's..EVERY song blows me away. My favorite has gotta be "Not Myself" though. His vocals and guitar are really top notch on that one and I just love the lyrics. I am So excited for the new album, the concert I'm attending in August (:D!!!), and the video. So all in all, I am a John fan because of his breathtaking talent, stunning looks (Hott dang! heh), and just the person that John Mayer is. I really hope to meet him someday. =)

Hey fellow John Mayer fans! I was glancing at the update section and decided to share with you on the many reasons why I LOVE John Mayer! Hmm, I do not know where I should begin! This might be long, so please bare with me! =D! It started about 9 months ago when I heard John Mayer's awesome songs! (I knew of him, but like it wasnt until I heard all of his songs) But that was when I knew I was hooked! I loved all his songs, but I loved them even more because I could relate to them on a personal level! So, I started visiting some JM fansites and found him to be so interesting! Plus, I could not resist his witty and clever sense of humor/personality! I instancely feel in love with his boyishly good looks! So 9 months later, and I think I have been to every JM fansite there is (but this is the one I go to the most for latest news, pictures, and other stuff, this is the best website!) So now, I am anxiously awaiting his new album and for that tour to start! I definitely know I will be the first person to buy the album in my city! =D My friends all think that I'm a hardcore JM fan, well theyre right!
