its weird because i went to a john mayer concert in feb. and i wasnt a fan at all..i went to it cuz my cousin wanted to go. i had heard of some of his songs and the concert was great. but it's only been the last month that i\'ve been really into his music. i think after that concert i really enjoyed his music. i kind of wished i was more of a fan when i went to the concert. i hope he comes again to canada soon. his music is just addictive. there's just something about it..the lyrics are so relatable and honest. i think it\'s easy for most people to connect to his music and it's great. and he's very articulate and funny during interviews too and during his concerts. which makes him even more likable. it's hard to find an artist who is talented and funny nowadays and i'm just so happy john is doing this. i think it\'s great to have a singer that is honest and also writes his own music. i really hope he has a new CD coming out soon!

Lets think..what artist out today is bringing such beautiful and melodic music thats comepletly heart felt and real?To me, the only answer is john!I mean,i dont think theres a song he can write that i dont completly love and connect with, and thats rare in music today!not only that, but his guitar playing skills are emaculate!i saw him live this summer in boston(4th row,SWEET SEATS!),and i was just in awe seeing him play guitar with such ease and grace,i was floored!I don\'t see how anyone couldn\'t love his music,i mean,it might just be me,but i see no flaws in any of his music! Not only that, but he\'s so humble and modest and just such a cool guy.Not to mention,ALL OF HIS FANS ROCK!!!!U guys r soo intellegint, cool, and just awesome! And i think john reads these,im not sure, but if he does:DUDE,U ROCK!Thanks for putting yourself out there and letting us see who you are and just really being a great artist!Can\'t wait for the next album(i love \"i don\'t trust myself loving you\",itz a hit,i know it!!!)peace and love to all...*Rachel

I first heard John on the car radio, and let me tell you from that day on, I was addicted! I admire everything about him, from his incredible guitar skills to his amazing voice, and most of all his songwriting ablitlty. I can't go a day without listening to him, the lyrics are so witty and heartfelt, the music just pulls me in and lets me forget about the rest of the world for a while. I've been to his concerts a few times, plus got to meet him at Sam the Record Man in Toronto!!! I'll never foget that, It was the best 15 seconds of my life. (he also looked FOXY...another good quality!) Before johnny boy, I couldn't relate to any of the music out there. Eveyone was so concerned about the "cool factor"...and it really bothers me when someone says they hate an artist like him without even giving it a chance. Ok, so not everyone gets a rush from hearing "Your Body Is a Wonderland"...but it still makes me melt!! I know John will stick around the music scene for a long time, he just has that way about him. Anyways, I think I'll stop blabbing. JM ROCKS!!!!

Kathryn (URL says...
How many famous musicians out there today actually sing, play, *and* write their own songs? Only one that I know of! Johnny (my nickname for John) sings great and plays such awesome guitar licks, but what's most appealing to me is his songwriting. His lyrics are so clever and they relate to anyone's life. I'm just so grateful for Johnny's triple threat--it's so different and cool. I LOVE YOU JOHNNY!!! YOU'RE MY HERO!!!!

Kathryn says...
If I said I was a John Mayer fan simply for the music I would be lying. His music and talent are definitely the top reasons, but I admire his stage presence, quirky antics, and physical attributes as well. His fan base consists of very devout, intelligent people and I'm proud to be a fan. I have seen him three times in concert and I have met him once (March 2003) and also had the opportunity to go to a soundcheck this summer. I enjoy being around people that add to my thought process or teach me a new word in the English language, and John Mayer's music has done both. What a talented guy. I'm sure when I'm middle-aged with kids I\'ll still be going to watch him in concert. He'll be around for awhile...

Lindsay says...
Where to start... Well, I bought "Room For Squares" in 2002, fell in love with it for lyrics on such songs as "3x5" (my personal favorite) and the fact that every time I listened to it, I discovered something new and wonderful about the CD. Soon I had the whole CD collection, and after much begging,(thanks mom!) tickets to see John in Camden, NJ last August. That was one of the most awesome things I have ever experienced, and may have been my first concert, but it definitely won't be my last. Now, my family is somewhat concerned about my "obsession", but I am determined to one day meet this exteremely talented lyricist, guitarist, and vocalist. His music is amazing because it speaks to real people, and there seems to be a John song for anything I'm feeling at a given moment. If (waitaminute...) WHEN I meet him, I will thank him for giving us something worthwhile and beautiful in today's music world, in which it is difficult to find anything real, let alone as wonderful, as John Mayer's masterpieces.

Kristina says...
Sound and sight are the only two senses that truly touch your heart. Whether you see a baby being born or you hear a laugh or a cry, it's all in sounds and sight that we truly FEEL. In John Mayer's case, my friend first burned me his CD and told me to listen to it. I was automatically FEELING this music right as I heard it. I didn't know what he looked like or anything. I was just in the moment, listning to the harmonic and beautiful sounds of a guitar-player. I decided to buy the actual CD to get the lyrics and look and see if the cover was pretty (stuff that you wanna find out like- what the CD looks like ). Anyways, the minute I looked at that CD, I saw the heart and soul of his music. You can almost see it in his face how deep and quirky he is and he's one of those guys where you say, "Hey, havn't I seen you before?" And that makes you feel comfortable, and his music isn't some guilty pleasure. It's true and probably will be for the test of time. He's a modern day Shakespeare with a guitar.

When I first heard John Mayer, it was in the parking lot of a World Market in the summer before eighth grade, the song was "No Such Thing", my Mom turned it up and said, "Hey, this is John Mayer, they were talking about him on the radio this moning" and I was like, "oh whatever..." and I turned it DOWN!! Then when I got to eighth grade, my teacher's favorite singer and luckily for me he played him everday in class and soon I feel in love with the lyrics..."I'll never let your head hit the bed without my hand behind it\", "they love to tell you stay inside the lines, but something's better on the other side..." etc.. I soon became obcessed. Ever since I have been to several concerts and met John once. He was so down to earth and I lvoe him, he is so not the typical rockstar. I also LOVE SCOTTY CROWE, I see him at every concert and is so awesome! When I first heard Heavier Things was coming out I quick made a few calls and soon got a copy ahead of time and I loved it. Now, I have every CD and single or demo John Mayer has put out and I just absolutely love him!! Now I am in tenth grade and I love John Mayer, I can't go a day without listening to him!! I drive my friends crazy with my endless talk about John and I have gotten a few of my friends into him and I just LOVE JOHN MAYER!!

Rachael says...
I decided to go to a John Mayer concert in March just to go to a concert and have a good time. Like any other girl, I fell in love with lyrics like "i'll never let your head hit the bed without my hand behind it" and "i love you gray sweatpants," so I decided his concert should be worthwhile. When my friends and I got to our nose bleed seats @ the concert, the TICKET FAIRIES came up to us with front row center tickets! OMG, purely amazing! Awesome guitar player and that sexy voice....ahh! :-p HUGE fan ever since! Johnny, my love, i WILL meet you someday!

Arlene says...
John Mayer is just such a great musician. I was in a record store in Atlanta when I first saw \"Inside Wants Out\" having this very cute guy on it. I thought to myself what a great title! Some time later when i heard \"Why Georgia\", being from georgia (Atlanta) in was like a personal song to me. It completed all the feeling I had inside. Ever since that song, I\'ve been a major fan of his and also saw him in concert this past week. Youre never a true fan till you see him live! I was in such awe! He\'s the best!

Laura says...
i'm a fan of john mayer because he is talented and very humble. he isnt like any other musicians i know. he could play the guitar very well for a 26 year old . he even inspired me to play guitar and write my own songs. he is very funny too. i became a fan in 99 when i saw "inside wants out" at a record store and i bought it .and i've been a fan ever since. i already seen him in concert 26 times. he will always be my favorite singer

Alaina says...
I recently read the words to John's song Closer to you,and I cried.Again and Again, John has amazed me. His respect for music is awesome, and he ooooozes with talent. I hope he is around for a long time.

Sarah (URL) says...
I've liked John since "Your Body Is A Wonderland" made it big. I was never really a huge fan, I listened to his music once in awhile and that was it. Then when "Why Georgia" was released as a single I fell in love with it and decided to check out more of his songs. It took me awhile to really enjoy and appreciate the songs, especially on "Heavier Things", but after a couple listens I started to love it more and more.
When I heard that John would be doing a concert in my city (in New Zealand) in April 2004 I got really excited and decided to pay the $70 for a ticket. I got front row and it was purely amazing! I'm sure every JM fan will agree with me when I say that nothing beats a JM concert. Since then I've become a massive fan.
Everything about John is amazing - his voice, his guitar skills, his beautiful and meaningful lyrics, his witty personality and his stunning good looks. There's just this way about him that pulls you in and makes you fall in love with him over and over again.
Definitely can't wait for the new album and the next time he comes to my city. Meeting him would be pretty damn cool also :D

Kelsey says...
John Mayer. Two words that mean so much to many people. The best thing about him is how unique he is. He's not just another guy with a guitar, but a compassionate songwriter and a talented musician. His fans are sincere, and we actually mean something to him. He's genuine, a treasure we hold very close to our hearts. He has the kind of music that has us all yelling, "Turn it up! Turn it up!" every time he comes on the radio. His lyrics are what we live each day, but he matches the feeling with a melody that touches us all. He's the kind of musician that makes us randomly smile in the middle of the day for no reason at all, just thinking about a quote, a lyric, or his face. Years from now, when all the veteran fans are old and gray, I'm sure that Room for Squares will still be spinning in someone's CD player, and that's a beautiful thing.

J says...
Hmmm...how can i explain why i love John Mayer? Well for 4 years now, i have been a fan..a loyal one at that. I've been to 5 concerts this year..each one being more incredible/unreal/unbelieveable/amazing/ than the one prior. I feel like i know him...we know each other actually. So many songs define my life, situations that i faced,...almost like we have a spiritual connection. I love all kinds of music, but no artist has had such an impact on me such as jm. I can be happy, angry, pissed off, depressed, emotional, ecstatic, hyper..anything and his music comforts me. JOHN MAYER AND HIS FANS ROCK ON!

Kistin says...
Oh! John Mayer... I am absolutely inlove with him. My older sister got me into his music. At first i was like, ugh, turn it off.. especially to the song '83' which is now my favorite. I saw John Mayer in concert last week. I had 2nd row center tickets. I had the greatest time EVER! I will definitely be attending more! I own all of John's cd's and some underground stuff. He is literally amazing. His voice. His guitar ability! His way with the croud. All amazing. If i could meet anyone... it would be JM! And one day i will.

Denise says...
I love JM for many reasons. My son is 14 and he adores him. I must say he is pretty darn cute. I fell in love with his music after my son and husband started listening to him.I then decided to go see him in Selma, Tx. this summer. We had tickets in a section that wasn't that close so I decided to go ahead and purchase some a little closer. Yep, I got front row seats!!! But, only two, cause I paid quite a bit for them. So my 14 year old son and I sat there and my other son and my husband sat further away. I would do it all over if I could. We had the time of our life.He was outstanding. He is so passionate with his music. I don't know of anyone else that I can listen to over and over again and not get tired of. WHAT IS IT about his music? It's addicting. Oh and by the way, during the concert he threw a pick at us in the front row and I tried my hardest to get it, but this kid next to me stepped on it. Man, I almost had it. My son said " mom, you should've seen how you dove for it, I was soooo embarassed" So what's wrong with a 37 year old trying to get a pick for her son? JM is the artist of the future!! I guarantee you, this man will last! I will see him again. There is something special about him that you can't explain. Only those true JM fans know what I'm talking about.

Sabrina says...
The first John Mayer song that got me hooked was "Why Georgia?" I couldn't get it out of my head, I loved it! The funny thing is that initially I thought John Mayer was some older dude that made really good music. Needless to say that when I saw my first JM video I was pleasantly surprised to see who was behind the great music. Naturally, I went out and bought his "Any Given Tuesday" CD (They were sold out of "Room For Squares) Anyway...I listened to it from start to finish and was amazed. When I first heard the song "Comfortable" I had tears in my eyes. No song had ever made me feel like that. I have seen him in concert twice since then and I own all of his CD's. It still amazes my though how some people can still ask me "Who is John Mayer?" I don't even know how to react to that. It just goes to show the musical rock that many people still live under. Love and Luck to John and all of his amazing fans. Well done you!

Anquin Gant says...
John the most influencial musician to come out in a while... I was hooked when i heard the album RFS's, i got all the CD's including Any Given Thursday... I relate to all of his music, and he doesn\'t make his fans feel inferior to him in any way.. The guy is awesome and i can't wait until August when i'm going to see him live in Charlotte... I have put all my friends on to his music.... IT's really proof how well he relates to all of his fans because i'm an African American Male, who prior to John Mayer was mostly a hip-hop and R&B guy.. Thanks for opening my eyes to a whole new world John...

Emma says...
Well, where do i begin... i have to absolutely thank my sister soooo much because she is the one who introduced him and his music to me. but the funny thing is, is that usually, i'm not saying always, the first song JM fans hear was 'YBIAW' but the first song i actually heard was 'Why Georgia' after i heard that i listened the the whole cd and i was speechless! after listening to the lyrics very carefully for like a million times the spell was cast and I LOVE HIM SOOO MUCH!! what can i say, i don't know how people cannot be in love with him. he's so down to earth, he's soo sexy, i love his hair when it gets kinda long cause it's curly, but most of all i probably like his sense of humour! he's hilarious!! but of course he's a very hot, and sexy guitar god. he's just soo talented, there's a variety of words to fit him, but that would take forever. anyway, when i bought his dvd 'any given thursday' i did every selection on there, i seriously love his hee haw dance and those funny guitar faces, and those lyrics of his i don't know how he does it, whenever i hear him or see pictures of him i just melt, and it's literally hard to breathe. so anyway when my sister, who introduced me to him, told me she was going to his concert in august, i thought i was going to blow up, cause obviously i couldn't get tickets to this concert. so when he came again in november to detroit and when my sister said that she was going, i also got tickets. well anyway i'll get to the point i'm trying to make, so when we got there, i went with my sisters boyfriend who is most like a brother to me, after the opening act, the thorns, when john came out, we were sitting down at the time and my hands were literally white and i could not breathe, i seriously thought someone would have to slap me to start breathing again, i thought i was gonna pass out!!LOL!! anyway that's when it really started for me. i mean i could never shut up about him! and i still can't!!LOL! i tape every show that he's on, everyday i listen to his cd's, i mean i know i'm obsessed with him, but i just can't help it! my friends and family get's mad at me when i start talking about him cause i'm non stop. i feel like in a way i know him cause i read so much about him. well you know how his guitar gods are like SRV and Jime Hendrix, well that what he is to me and much more, he's the one who got me started learning how to play the guitar. well anyway i think i've made my point in that i am like the biggest john mayer fan, i cannont wait for the next concert that i'm going to in august!!! i just have to say one more thing, JOHN MAYER FANS ROCK! and i want to say thanks to Dora who obviously made this AWESOME WEBSITE;) this is the best website for john and in a way it's better than his official one, in some ways. so thanks! I LOVE YOU JOHN!!!!!:*

Monica says...
I was a little slow to discover JM music. It was May of this year when I was on medical leave from my job. I watched CMT Crossroads with John and Brad Paisley. Needless to say I am hooked. I bought 2 of his CD\'s shortly after and I have listened to one or the other almost every day. You can relate to the lyrics and the music is soothing. It is refreshing to drive home after a bad day at work and listen to JM music and forget about the shit that happened at work.

Jackie says...
I don't know how anybody can't NOT love JM! He's hot, smart, funny, a guitar god, an amazing singer-songwriter, and he's also SINGLE! His song's are amazing, he just has this way of connecting with people through his songs. I bought Room For Squares in June 2003 and I own all his CDs and have been a fan ever since! JM rox my sox and I'll be the Alice in his Wonderland anytime! Peace + love to all JM fans! xoxo!

nique van Bers says...
My friend Matti is a big fan of John, so he asked me to drive all the way up to Berlin (I live in Amsterdam) and I\'d never heard of this guy. When he stood there... I was blown away. Ever since that moment I always play his cd\'s in the morning in the car before I go to work!! It makes my day. Thanks to Matti, John & Berlin!

none says...
i love jonh mayer because he is not the typical popstar.he is acutally very humble and funny.and he isnt a jerk and he dosent let fame get in the way of his personality. when i first became a fan of john mayer it was after listening to "back to you" at a store and i fell in love with the song and i didnt know who sang it until i saw the video for "no such thing" and thatis when i became a fan of john mayer. i've already seen him in concert once{i droved all the way to vegas}and i'm seeing him this summer as well- 83

Brenda says...
John is awesome for so many reasons, he is an amazing guitar player, he is so talented. Then there is John the man, he is sooo funny witty too boot. I remember the first time I herd no such thing on the radio I immeditely was a fan, then I went out and bought the cd, wow after about 10 min I was hooked. He is so down to earth I love that he is not one of these haughty celebrity types, he is just a regular joe ( or should I say john) and that shows in his music, he can connect with people, because he sings of matters we all have been through or will go through eventully in our lives, so I suppose that is what I like that most about him, he is accessable. Oh and I find that most John Mayer fans are pretty cool ppl!!!!!!!!!! All I have to say is keep the music comming john... cause us fans aren\'t going anywhere.

Jaden (URL) says...
I admit that, for a longggg time, I was a slave to the pop sensation. One new boy-band after another and I was hooked on every one. But when I went to Best Buy with my mom one day and saw 'Room for Squares' sitting by it's lonesome in the 'Rap' section (of all places) on our way to the register, I threw down Good Charlotte's CD and grabbed it. Within a couple days I knew every word. Unlike before, John's music didn't hide the fact that life isn't always the way it seems in pop songs, that there ARE moments when you say stupid things, when you figure out that the world is better viewed through your own eyes, when you bite your tougne and let someone walk away. He's true to the realities we face everyday and he thrives on the comfort that we're going through things with him, that he's not the only one. He is truly an amazing artist and a gratuitous person. He is what music was created for.

Cynthia says...
I would hate to be redundant, therefore I'm not going to mention the obvious, and shoot to be a little unique. To describe John's creativity and accentuate his musical attributes would be...well, exactly what everyone else is doing. So, I want to say that the reason I am a fan of his, is because he has the beautiful ability to mix atriculate thoughts with rhythmics patterns. Yeah, I happen to be one of those people who read the lyrics..lmao. His music to me is like being outside in a rainstorm, and never getting wet. Persay, like the electricity that gets the bulb going, you know? Crap, I'm getting all deep here..lol. Anyway, yes I know he is handsome...but even if he had to wear a bag over his face, I would still appreciate his authentic lyrics and the play it to be heard musical style I adore so much. I wish him the best of luck, because frankly, you can never have too much of it.

Matt says...
I first bought Room For Squares for my Mom for her Birthday. It was just something I listened to in the car with her and it was pretty cool. Last summer he came to my hometown on my 16th birthday and so i got some tickets and went with my friends. My mom hasn't had her John Mayer cd back since and after that night I had to buy everything he's ever put out. I'm seeings him twice this summer and can't wait. One of the times is even on my 17th birthday!!!! Oh what a perfect birthday tradition I'm buildiung up here.

Hotaru (URL) says...
What is it about John? I think about it this way... John is like many enigmatic artists, they have the ability to let go of the thoughts that bounce around inside their heads and just decide to just get it out in the open. He admits he has faults, he admits that he wants to find love, he admits that he wants to be a better person... And what I believe is that it draws people in because we just want to admit thoughs things to ourselves. And wish to use John as a guide.

John says...
john mayer he is good at so many things but he can play a guitar better than anybody in tha world man is he can sing too i listen to his cds every day he is just so awesome

Kim says...
I wasn't a John Mayer fan until "Clarity" was released. I thought it was a catchy tune so I asked for "Heavier Things" for my birthday (saved me wasting my money if it turned out to be crap!). As it is, that CD has not been out of my stereo since I got it And just on the weekend I purchased "Room for Squares". Now I have both CDs permanently implanted in my stereo! I have not heard such insightful and moving music for a really long time. There has been so much rubbish churned out lately and John's music is like a breath or fresh air. It's really great to hear a musician who writes his own music and beautiful lyrics and plays his own instruments. And no synchronised dancing in sight! Not to mention how easy on the eyes John is. I hope he is around for a long time so we can all continue to enjoy his music.

Ed says...
The one thing that sets him apart from almost every other musician is the fact that he can ACTUALLY relate to the things he says in his songs - not like other singers who just try to create a fan base by trying to appeal to the fans' emotions even if the artist does not feel the same way. His lyrical genius and guitar prowess are just added incentive for me to listen to his music, which I do now every day. I'm going to see him live in August, and I really can't wait.

Nora says...
None of my friends have heard of John Mayer, since he's not known here in Norway. They're missing out on something..! John Mayer is an amazing person. We all know that he's a fantastic singer, songwriter and guitar player. But he's also good looking and really funny. Everytime I listen to "Room for squares", I'm instantly in a better mood. No other record does that for me. He deserves to win every single award he's nominated for. He's the best. And I've never seen any artist that has as many tours as John. I'm so glad I "discovered" him, and I'm really looking forward to the day I get to see him in concert..!

lia says...
john's song just like a self help for me. when i hear the song , i feel that someone out there know what i am feeling and feels what i feel.

Philip says...
whenever i am having a bad day, i just pop in the johm mayer room for squares cd and his voice makes calms me. every song on that cd is great and his music has gotten me through so much.

Jessica (URL) says...
I love him because of his uniqueness and his ambition. his music tells a lot about how complicatedly wonderful life is and can be. he touches the souls of millions of people at a time, but when you listen to his music it feels as though he knows what you\'re going through and he\'s serenading you through it all. John Mayer is beautiful because of his lyrics, and his lyrics are beautiful because of him.

Darnisha says...
The guitar solos are totally calming and if you jsut need something to calm you down, man he's it. I'm 30 and married and my husband is like \"When are you putting the posters up in the bedroom?" :) Any given Thursday is my favorite CD by far. Coverd in Rain is the best song I've heard in 10 years!

Monica says...
Wow...what can I say about John? There are so many things I can say, but what really drew me to him was the way he sang. His voice is just sooo perfect for his look. The raspy voice coming out of those pillow-y lips ....and the amazingly cute faces he makes when he plays! And how brave he was to venture to Portland Maine to have me (and only me..wink wink) see him. I know i sound like a teenager, because I am, but his lyrics really reach into my heart and squeeze it and say WAKE UP, GIRL!!! LISTEN TO ME!!! and i ejoy music like that. And he is like, so hot! (not sarcasm!!)

Mrs.J Mayer says...
I heard No Such thing on the radio and i was like wow. It took me awhile to get Room for squares but i got it. And then Heavier things came out , which i bought, and the solo in bigger than my body awww. john just has a cool kind of deep. it\'s one that you can feel every where. i think that john is just a cool guy.

MICHELLE says...
hello, like most everyone else who love john mayer from the beginning i too fell for him not only for his physically well endowed good looks but his talents and being so smart and not being carried by the waves of hollywood. i just hope he would not change being an honest person that he is. i love him too, like rosa, he, im also in my 30\'s but age doesnt matter, right, as long as were happy. take care my fellow mayer fans.

Brian says...
The first time that i saw the video for "No Such Thing" i knew that i would like john, and i immediately went out and bought his cd. Then i found out that he was playing a concert near me, i tried really hard to get tickets and i ended up in the 10th row from the front. that was the greatest concert i had ever seen, and from that point on i have been absolutely obsessed with anything john does. Even if his songs don't do to well on the radio, he will always be an amazing live performer, and that's why he's my favorite.

Jami says...
i love john mayer--when im upset his voice calms me down when im happy he punps me up. I cant honestly say idont knwo hwta i would do if he wasnt making and music. i have seen him live and it puts you into such a good mood i cant explain it. if youve never seen him live, the day you do is when yourll be the biggest john mayer fan. he makes it liek hes singing to you and there is no one else around: all those 1000's of peopel just dissapear.

Rosa says...
I'm a totally John Mayer fan, but not in a teen-bopper way. His voice is calming and sensual. His talent is irreplacable. "The Great Indoors" is a song about me. I'm in my 30's and I've never been kissed and I want my first kiss from John's beautiful lips. that would be a dream come true. Love John and everything thing he is and is not.

Terra says...
Hey, I am 16 and I have been a fan for about a 6 months now. John is amazing. I just can't get enough of his music, He's now my favorite singer!! His music is so different, it really comes from the heart. I have never heard anyone like him!!! I can't wait for his next album, I bet it's going to be GREAT!

Anouk says...
The most beautiful guy i know gave Room for Squares to me at our first date. Could it be better than that? No. Listening to John's voice, to his lyrics, to his music, to his guitarplaying, and thinking about that beautiful guy makes me feel so damn good!! After also buying Heavier Things, Any Given Thursday and Inside Wants out there is one thing i'd left to say; I can't imagine a life without John's Music! John, you're wonderfull!

chrisy says...
The main reason I am a John Mayer fan is because his songs are written by him and they have a meaniful impact on me. It kinda freaks me out how this musician has this kinda impact on me, but I still love. They weird thing is I heard 'Your Body is a Wonderland' a few years ago and thought nothing of it, but when I heard Bigger than my Body I was like oh my God they are the same person! Bigger than my body actually introduced me into this obsession! lol Thank you John for introducing me into real music that can only come for the human spirit! Man, I'm only 14!

I have been a fan since 99... i remember the small smoke-filled rooms and the $10 tickets. Now it's huge amphitheaters and $40 tickets, but John Mayer is still the same. He is truly an amazing musician. He has the voice i want to hear when i'm stressed and need to chill down. When my heart is breaking, when i need encouragement or just need to hear that someone else does stupid things - i listen to Mayer. I just bought tickets to the concert coming to Charlotte, NC in august, and i couldn't be more excited. it will be my 7th concert! he's so amazing live.. for anyone who talks crap about him - they need to hear his voice live. He is just a human being, and i think that is what is so endearing about his music... he doesn't claim to be a big hot shot selebrity who does nothing but go to the clubs and hook up with gorgeous women. He is a real guy with real problems and real feelings. He spits when he sings sometimes, and if you're up front at a concert, he'll apologize for it. He'll mess up his intro sometimes if he hasn't played it much live, and for me, it just adds to the reasons why i love him so much. No one else i have ever listened to has been able to write such a variety of songs with such talent and be able to draw people in with such an incredible, soothing voice .. all at the same time. He's amazing! I even got my boyfriend hooked and we can't wait for the concert!!

John Mayer is one of the greatest most talented singers I know. And I'm only 12! Ever since I heard him on the radio like the for the first time in my life I never even knew who he was. But then later on I wanted to find out more about him.So I did. And then when I saw pictures of him I was just like WOW! So after that i just kept listening to him over and over again!!! But then just fell in love with him and his music. He is just so sweet and so nice I would just do anything just to meet him. And I look up to him. I just wish he knew me. Because I'm so obsessed about him! Well, thats why I'm a John Mayer fan!!!!!

Was up JM fans. Honestly I have to say that I think all of us on here are #1 fans of John Mayer. I feel the same way everybody else feels about him but I don't let that get to my head and start bragging about it. I know there happy about it but sometimes people can go overboard. Trust me my mom says I\'m obsessed and people get tired of me talking about himt eh way I do but I realized that it's not healthy for me to practiclly worship him the way I do. I'm sure he loves his fans and everything but I think he might get tired of all th esigns, people, sluts, and groupies. ANyway I'm not tring to start anything I just had to get that off my chest, no hard feelings to anyone. I'm still a #1 fan like all of you guys! WHen I first heard o JM my teacher played him in my classroom because he would like to play different types of music for us all. I asked the girl next to me who in th eworld is John Mayer. She said you know that one guy who sings, "Your Body Is A Wonderland." Then my dad had the same cd my teacher had then I told my self I had to get that cd escpecially when I heard Neon. SO eventually I got alll of his cd's and little by little I would get more and more attracted and more interested in him. SO my mom got me tickets to his Las Vegas concert and my mom told me after the show, "If you ever bring home a white boy I want him to be just like him." He has alot of soul in him and that's one of the things I like about him. ANyway I'm glad to see that John Mayer fans from everywhere can gather around and have a website where they can talk about someone they love. Thanks for reading.

Ask anyone--I'm the biggest John Mayer fan there is. I drool over my computer whenever I have a JM background, I smile every single time i hear one of his songs on the radio, i know all the words to all of his songs, and...he said he would marry me at one of his concerts. I'm not sure why I love him so much; maybe it's the way his songs always sooth me when I'm sad, the way i know exactly what he meant when he wrote a song, the way he looks like he's eating the mic when he sings. he is just TOO cute...i can't put into words how much I love him, how sad I would be without his music. it's a part of my life, it's defined me and made me who i am. he's touched my heart in a way that no other artist has, and he brought me into his world. only a true artist can do that with words. i'm sitting here, trying to think of how to possibly explain this, and i'm at a loss for words. he is my boy, he forever will be, and i love him. **I can tell you this much, I will marry just once, and if it doesn't work out give her half of my stuff. It's fine with me. We said eternity.** Don't compete. Just smile and nod--I'll make sure everyone sees the wedding pix ;-).

Great lyrics, great music! John Mayer can make a song for any life situation, experience or feelings w/o using "cliches." He could literally watch some cute chick pick her ass and go "okay, here's a song about learning to love the imperfections in your lover. A love so great that when they pick their ass, youll find it cute." Now thats poetry in motion man!!.. Also, with his use of metaphors, it really makes his lyrics stronger that emphasizes the message he is trying to convey. Mixed with some kick ass guitar strings and other instruments (i.e. trumpets in Clarity)...thats a TRUE artist. Finally!. an artist that writes his own lyrics AND composes his own music with some creativity! Lastly, I like the fact that his idol is Sting because...well, there really isnt a "because"...he's fu*king STING. You cant go wrong with that.
THANK YOU JOHN MAYER. MY EARS HAS WAITED A LONG TIME FOR AN ARTIST LIKE YOU!!!

We should be expecting "voice of generation" tags pretty soon. "That would be cool,"Mayer beams. "If i ever read an article that said, 'John Mayer- he's the voice of my generation, 'it would be like, 'If i'm the voice of my generation, than turn it up f...er!' "

there you have it john.its not an article but you are the voice of my generation..

Let's see, where to begin! It all started when I heard (and saw) No Such Thing on MTV. I didn't think much of it till I saw it again. Then I was hooked! John was the one who inspired me to pick up a guitar and take lessons. His songs take you to a different time and place. He's a funny, nice, and (cute!) guy. One day I will learn to play some of his songs! John seems down to earth and NOT like other celebrities who have fame going to their heads. He's just a great person and is very talented. Go John!! :)

I was trying to think about all the reasons why I love John Mayer and I came to the conclusion that there are just too many to name, but I will share a few with you. My obsession with him started about a year and a half ago when I heard \"Your Body is a wonderland\". I was totally addicted to the song and i pestered my mum to buy Room For Squares for me. She eventually did and I was totally hooked. Every song he sang made me fall more and more in love with his music. His lyrics are just so beautiful and he has this amazing way of just making words come together and make an amazing song. There\'s not a song I can\'t relate to, I just love all of them. The way he plays the guitar is absolutely fucking awesome. He can just hold a crowd by picking up his guitar and playing. I saw him in concert 2 nights ago in Wellington for the very first time and i was so close to John I could\'ve touched his shoe. I knew it was going to be an amazing concert but he just totally blew me away. I stood there in awe at him and his hands. Has anyone ever noticed that he has the most amazing and beautiful hands EVA! I couldn\'t get over his hands. I am in love with John but I am totally obsessed with his hands. He is a total legend and i will never forget my time with him. I just like the fact that he\'s so real and couldn\'t give a fuck what anybody thinks of him. On stage he makes you feel like the only person in the room. He is gorgeous and sexy and amazing and just the perfect guy ever. The songs he sings are amazing. He says what everybody thinks but puts them in these amazing song. I truly believe that he is going to be an amazing guy to look out for in the future. I believe that he is the greatest musician out there and I hope to see him in concert again very soon. After seeing John in concert I am totally in love with him and his music and totally obsessed with him. I can\'t get through the day without listening to his albums twice. I love him so much and will always be a fan. JOHN MAYER IS THE GREATEST GUY EVER. I LOVE HIM!

About 2 years ago my friend told me to go check out this guy (ironically, she doesn't like him - silly girl) and the first song I heard was a live version of Love Song For No One ("This song's about talking to the person that you haven't even met yet...") It absolutely floored me (sent me to the ground, I had to pick myself up off the ground). I just could not believe that someone could put into words what I was feeling at that exact moment. I was completely hooked. I got all the CDs, downloaded the live music, etc. and the first concert of his I went to was in Syracuse. I didn't think I would be able to go, but my friend had an extra ticket, although the seats were horrible - about as far away as possible. But, by a stroke of luck, we met Ina the Ticket Fairy (is she still around?) and she gave us new tickets, front row center. That was by far the most incredible experience I have ever had. I saw him again with Counting Crows, where he continued to amaze me. When I hear people say they don't like him, I always shake my head because what you hear on the radio is NOTHING compared with his live performances. He is an incredibly talented performer with a knack for getting people's attention - just look at all the people that have talked on this site. Listening to his Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughn covers made me appreciate incredible guitar playing, something I\'d never listened to before. And of course, he's adorable. I'm seeing him this summer with Maroon 5 (who's also great) and DJ Logic and I know whatever I expect, I won't be disappointed. John is just amazing.
And I absolutely love that everyone here will get my reference to Any Given Thursday. :)

John is simply amazing...HE hasn't succumbed to all the Hollywood hype and stayed true to himself. He looks liks he's such a down to earth guy and he always has time for his fans. He writes his own music which makes it more personal and stuff... After seeing him live you seriously fall in love with him more because he's just so talented...It also helps that he's drop dead gorgeous as well =)

I thought I loved John Mayer more than anyone in the world, especially when I bursted into tears at a concert at West Point when he played Clarity, but reading here I see that I'm not alone. We all love John, and why not? Talented doesn't begin to express what John has. He's so great, and the fact that he doesn't seem to know how great he is is even more attractive. John is one musician who hasn't gotten to heady about being famous. And I always know this is not as good as it gets with him. Everytime I hear him, he just gets better and better. He even played a Stevie Ray Vaughn song at the concert I went to, which was sooo amazing to hear. So I guess to summerize, he has a respect for the past, the talent to bring great music to the future, the sense of humor to split your sides, the lips and eyes to make you faint, and the voice to make your spirit soar. Keep it up John, because all these fans can't wait to hear and see more.

I love John's music because it makes my heart spin on it's axis! Yes, he is good looking but it's his music that is most beautiful. John is so quirky in the way he makes faces when he plays. He plays with a passion and his music is down to earth. Rock on John - you rule!!

Jessica says...
This is such an easy question to answer. Some of my friends ask me all the time how I could like a guy who seems to be "just another guitar master wannabe." Well that's definitely not the case. I think John is going to be a guitar legend someday. He is just awesome! I have never seen anyone play live with so much passion and excitement. I have seen him in concert twice, and by far were the best concerts I've been to, Billy Joel included. Not to mention he is a beautiful man. Yes, I said it...beautiful. His lips are so perfect. And it's not like he's drop dead pretty boy gorgeous. Its the down to earth, regular Joe gorgeous. He\'s also incredibly intelligent, and anyone can pick up on that just by listening to him being interviewed. Regardless, JM is awesome, and I know he will be successful for years to come!

Colleen says...
The first CD of his I ever bought was Any Given Thursday. I had heard No Such Thing, Your Body is a Wonderland and Why Georgia before. But when I first played that CD I ABSOULUTELY fell in love. He knew exactly what I wanted to say, needed to say, but never could. He expresses himself so beautifully on the guitar. He just absolutely makes it sing. My favorite song by him is definately Comfortable. Man on the Side, Daughters, 3 x 5, No Such Thing, The Wind Cries Mary, Message In a Bottle, Why Georgia, Only Heart, Split-Screen Saddness, and Hummingbird, are DEFINATELY all my favorites, but theres not one i don\'t like. I saw him in concert in November and he did an AMAZING job. words can not express how much I love him. His interviews are all wonderful, hes funny and charming, and hes also VERY good looking. He\'s just awesome! I hope to one day meet him to tell him that! He\'s so very humble about his success. He is just incredible. I try to get allll my friends to listen to him!

Why am I a John Mayer fan? Let me count the reasons...First of all his makes music, and by that I don't mean dances and lipsyncs to a cd. He is extremely talented and an amazing guitar player and his lyrics are understandable and serve a purpose. Never mind the fact that he is absolutely drop dead gorgeous and his voice is actually heavenly, but when he is doing an interview a person watching it can get more from him than "I love my fans" and "I don't think I'm a sex symbol" blah blah blah. He is actually intelligent and funny and his interviews aren't pure boredom. All of his songs are absolutely amazing, and he makes everything original and unique and that is what is so great about someone who is considered "mainstream pop." However, since I live in Canada I must point out something very important; Everytime an artist\'s tour goes to Canada they only end up going to Vancouver, Victoria, Toronto and Ottawa. JOHN IF YOU EVER END UP READING THIS (-haha-) PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE x100 COME TO EDMONTON, ALBERTA CANADA. YOU HAVE BELOVED FANS WHO WANNA HEAR YOU PLAY LIVE SO BAD THAT THEY'RE TAKING THE TIME TO POST A HUGE PARAGRAPH ABOUT HOW MARVELOUS YOU ARE IN A FORUM DEDICATED TO YOU...Anyways, John Mayer is amazing, gorgeous, talented and sexy. It's about fricken time that I can listen to someone with a purpose and who can play a guitar like no tomorrow...Thanks for being so amazing...P.S-JOHN MAYER FANS RULE!!

Hey everyone =) i decided to jump on the Fan Reasons bandwagon. So where do you start talking about why you love john mayer? ive been a fan ever since no such thing. my mom got me inside wants out for christmas that year.. I remember falling in love with Comfortable and Neon. John isnt just about the look and he isnt created by some hollywood bigshot; he has amazing lyrics and even more amazing songs. Plus he has the best sense of humor. And face it, hes really hot. I saw him live on March 21st in West Point and i think that i <3 him even more. That man can play! I wanna go to the summer tour so bad, but its too far away. =( Until then i will count down the days until the new album.. we love you john mayerrrr

I was watching CNN The Music Room and I couldn't help seeing this guy playing on his guitar... I couldn't help remembering his name somewhere in my head. I was on holiday, Bali 2003, and I spotted the cover of "Room For Squares"... I couldn't help buying it. I listened to a song each day, and I couldn't help putting his disc on constantly... I saw his DVD "Any Given Thursday" in the shop the day before I left Bali to fly back to Europe, The Netherlands, and I couldn\'t help seeing him singing the songs I heard all holiday long on my screen everyday. I went on doing m 9 to 5-life again and couldn't stop talking about his music. I couldn't stop colleagues for asking me for his dics. I couldn't help my friend getting tired of driving 6 hours to Berlin and then 6 hours back through the night, just to let me see him Perform. I paid a little more for a Sting ticket, when I heard he was the supporting guest to this sold-out concert in Rotterdam. I just..... seem to like what he is doing, I guess... and I can't help it!!!

About a year and a half ago i got my hands on a copy of RFS, and i wasn't really that attracted to it. It sort of just escaped me for some reason. Then one day i was listening to St.Patricks Day and realised that it was an amazing song, and not just in terms of its sound. It was amazing in that the music mirrored the words which mirrored its meaning which took you to that place. That is possibly the hardest thing for a musician to do; create a song which exudes a mood that is completely right for that moment. And if you really listen to RFS, you'll hear that every song is like that; every song is a completely whole and separate from the previous one. I dont know if he means to, but Mr.Mayer has near perfect song structure which almost makes his music visual.
That is musical perfection.

Belynda says...
Man, oh man. What a man. So where to start? Well, the beginning is always good, but since I have not known our beloved idol since the beginning, and I shan't speculate, I think I'll just go with it and say what I feel...
I've often wondered to myself, why is it that I adore John on such a higher level than I ever have of any other musician? (I always like to note I don\'t see John as a singer, or guitar player, or songwriter; he is all three- the whole package, and so, an accomplished MUSICIAN. Uncomparable to the twitty half-brains who bop along using thier face for fame, not comprehening the slightest of what it means to get a message through to the people!.. *whoah girl take a breath! :D *)
And it's saying alot for me to have one person over others, as I have always been a very passionate person when it comes to my loves- listening to good music and watching good movies. So I get very 'into it' all, is the only way I can describe it, but I can sincerely say I embrace JMs music more than any other artist I've ever encountered.
I am going to mention this part- it's not 'verboden' to me, and I\'m not afraid to say it- He is so damn attractive it's not funny, but I am so comfortable in saying it, because whether celebrity or no, I can never say I find a guy attractive if I haven't been completely won over by his personality... And boy have I! He is absolutely drop-to-the-floor-I'm-in-love-with-you material! :P
But it's he, as a person that has drawn me in, and kept me there- his boyish charm and good looks are just a bonus! ;)
He has the knack of saying exactly what I mean to say, when I can't find the words to say it-- unusually expressive; which leads me to another thing I adore about him, and I think I may be unusual in this.. Oh it makes my heart throb to listen to a song not only by a man of meaning, but a man of intellect!! How else can he shape those verses to his purpose, to embrace the english language and steal us away in a whirlpool of words.. his intellect shows with everything he says, and it shows his sincerity- his ability to think things thorough and allows him to say exactly what he's feeling, expressive through song, and melody.
Lastly (I think!) his music has an unreal quality to it, that takes me away to wherever I want to be, and makes me feel happy again. It's the beat, the soul, the rythym, the melody, the lyrics. It's John, and there's none quite like him.
*you can wake up from your stupor now*

First of all, I LOVE John Mayer. I am probably the only one in little St. Marys, WV that\'s one of his fans. All of my friends criticize him, and I take up for him. I have liked John since day one. Thank you, sister, for pointing him out to me.=-P He is the most talented musician in the industry today. His music and lyrics are so touching. When I\'m feeling angry or depressed, I know that if I pop in one of his CDs that I\'ll become relaxed. I went to his Columbus, OH concert this past summer, and I had an awesome time. It was so nice to see him in real life, instead of seeing him on the television, wishing that he was right next to me, even though I still do get excited when I see him on the telly. I love everything else about him. His hair, eyes, style, sense of humor, it\'s wonderful! John Mayer is MY ideal guy! I could go on and on about how much I love this guy, but I would probably take up the whole web page. So to sum it all up.... I am John Mayer\'s biggest fan. I love him. I will always love him. Even when I\'m 60 years old, I\'ll be telling my grandchildren about him and how much of a guitar god he was. And let me tell you this, I was staring at my JM poster and listening to Heavier Things while writing this.
I LOVE YOU JOHN CLAYTON MAYER!!!

It has been way too long since this world has been blessed with another awesome singer/songwriter. There are so few true musicians around anymore, and John absolutely tops the list. The amount of talent in that man is INCREDIBLE. And to think, he\'s the same age as me? Who woulda thought. I saw him in concert for the first time a few weeks ago, and WOW. It just blew my mind how into his playing he gets, So what I would like to say to John is THANK YOU for sharing your talent with the rest of us in the world, and I am sure that you will continue to do so for MANY MANY more years to come. For that, I am sure we will all be eternally greatful!!

Victoria, I totally agree with you. John is an attractive guy, but his music means so much more. I have been a fan for a while (before he was so popular) and it is annoying to go to a concert full of teeny-boppers who are there because they think he is \"so hot\"...what about the music?!? What about the way he talks about an everyday thing, yet says it in a way to make you thing? That is why you should be there! I love me some him :)

The first time i heard John was on the radio. and frankly .. i didnt like him. I heard songs like "Your body is a wonderland" and "No Such Thing".. and thought it was just another passing young artist. A few months later I got a new computer. I was downloading some songs and came across "Man on the Side." I froze. I listened to it over and over. His voice, his lyrics. The guitar. It was all so intense. I started to find more and more songs. Like "Comfortable" and "3X5".. and from then on, I have been hooked. John is so much a part of my life now. Its weird. And because of him, I have met some of the most incredible people. People that have touched my lives without even meeting them.
John is such a talented musician. One of a Kind. I think his music will live for years. And hopefully everyone will understand why we all love him so much. Not because he's cute or won an award. But because of his music. And the passion he has for it.

There are alot of girls that loke John Mayer just because of his looks and that really annoys me. For example: at my concert when John came out these fast girls in front of me to the top of their lungs but when he did his beutiful guitar solos the place was quiet and that told me alot. He\'s very talented and it took him a long hard journey to get where he is today. Nobody just saw him and turned him in to a star it took him a while to get where he is today and he deserves it.

i dont know how to start this. a lot of girls only like john mayer because of his looks and that really annoys me. i mean, he is reall good looking, but u shouldn't just judge him by his looks. listen to his words, and how he plays the guitar. its amazing, i have wanted to play the guitar ever since i heard him play. listen to how he puts what your trying to think into words, listen to his beautiful voice. he is so talented. his words and the way he compares things is just awesome. i like him because he isnt just some fad that is going to come and go. i like him because he does his own thing, he doesnt sound like everyone else, and he doesnt talk about being a "playa" or any of that stuff.
i dont like john mayer actually.
i love him.

I am John Mayer fan for the same reasons as everyone else. His music. His music is like that summer night when your sitting on your front porch and you feel a cold breeze blow by.Its a *homish* feeling you get when you throw on one of his many records. What amazes me is how he can look so stupid while playing his guitar, and still wow me.Its really amazing isn\'t it. He truly is a *John Mayer*. hes not a knock off of someone else. I also like the way him and his band gets along. I think thats nice. Hes not * the lead singer of his band* if you know what im saying. He probably couldn\'t do it without them. i like the way that hes just a guy, you know. Hes not a super pop star, hes John Mayer. Hes a guy with a guitar that plays it really well. Thats all.And what really draws me in time and time again, is how he can know exactly what your trying to say, even though you can\'t find the words to say it. Thats why im his fan.

I'm a John Fan because:
a) He would never say Plata-ma-pus unless he was joking.
b) He doesn't watch The Bachelor(unless he's just afraid to admit his trashy TV ways).
c) He takes the concept of brainstorming to a verbal level.
d) He can actually play the guitar strapped to his body. I'm remembering a certain Simon Le Bon (from my childhood) who DID NOT play the guitar during Save A Prayer. The fingers should at some point touch the strings Simon---don't be afraid of the chord progression!
d) He admits to liking the God that is James Taylor. I worship at his holy faunt of perfect voicedness. I know that voicedness is not actually a word---no e-mails please.
e) He can sing and the words "get witchoo" are not in any of his songs. And as I write this he sings those words somewhere and means them. The karma is cruel.
f) I've gotten to F and run out of reasons and still refuse to put the phrase "he's hot" anywhere in this text. D'OH!

I was a musical theatre major in college, and love music in general, but John's music to me is so oddly my own. Meaning it is almost as if he has taken a little bit of my life and put it in his songs. That's the magic of his music. I know alot of other people feel like this too. It is a great feeling to be so in touch with someone else and their ideas on such an impersonal but yet SO personal way.. I've said it before music is the soundtrack of my life. Check out "What's playing now" -- Never Saw Blue Like That by Shawn Colvin.

From every obsessive fan, their is their "sponsor." The one who supports their love of the musician. For Caitlin, i am that "sponsor." One day, i was driving through Southern california, when I heard a song on the radio that caught my attention. Who in the world would want to run through the halls of their high school, bust down doors,...without a can of spray paint. I'm just kidding, but I was intrigued by this new artist. Now, almost a year and a half later, I've been to 3 concerts, and have 35 songs of his, legally, on my iPod. Three versions of "Bigger than my Body." However, my support of John does not even rival that of my best friend, who I introduced to the musc that is John mayer. Maybe some day, John will bear the distinction my mother's obbsession possessed, "bona fide sex icon." He's on his way, but in devout fans hearts, he already is one.

Where can you begin? Becoming a John Mayer fan can happen in every shape and form. I became a fan this July when I was invited to go see him in Irvine at the Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre. At the time I didn't think much of John except "that guy who sings Your body is a wonderland and that 'I wanna scream at the top of my lungs' song" Despite this, my friend had an extra ticket so I tagged along. We watched Maroon 5 (and seriously at the time, we didn't even realize it was them. This was like 2 weeks after the Harder to Breathe video came out.) And then came John. I was overwhelmed by how much people were so connected to this guy. I was amazed how everyone sang every word. I was confused by the bevy of guitar faces and "that funky thing he does with his leg." (the hee haw dance, i now know) but I didn't just pay attention to that. I listened to his voice. Raspy, breathy, yet smooth and kinda sexy. I also listened to the words he sang. Leaning over to my friend I asked, "Does he write all this." and my friend gave me the weirdest look and yells over the screaming fans, "yah!" Amazed I stood up as the intro to Your Body is a Wonderland began. I have an all new appreciation for the song. It's just so much better live. As we left during the last song of the encore, I found myself crooning to hear it in the parking lot. The rest of the way home, my mind went crazy. Basically I was speechless but I literally became a fan overnight. It didn't take much, except to see him live. Today I think John is probably one of the most talented musicans out there (there are a lot but John is really high up on that list because he's different, and quite frankly, I don't know why.) The same friend who took me to the July concert went with me to one on Feb 21st of this year at the Universal Ampitheatre (I thought i'd repay the favor. LOL.)Another awesome show may I add. Much more fun cuz this time I knew the words! I'm now learning to play acoustic guitar because I want to understand that passion that Mayer gets everytime he picks up a guitar and sings. (plus, guitar is just plain cool....haha) Out of all my friends, i'm the biggest John Mayer fan. Even the one who brought me to the concert thinks I'm a bit crazy. It's ok if I'm crazy. (Crazy for John is fine with me.) My mom and my sister are both now fans, thanks to me and that annoying fan quality that can't stand it when the volume is low while a John song plays. haha. So the main reason why I luv John. His talent (ie. singing, guitar, songwriting.), his hysterical sense of humor (seriously, he's just a damn funny guy) , his originality (especially for musicans these days, he's got none of the bling bling BS), his gorgeous looks (i'm a normal red-blooded american girl), and just him as a whole. Everything about him and his past I find entriguing. How his parents didn't want him to pursue a life in guitar but he did it anyway, how he started small and gathered a fanbase as he went (he continues to do that to this day, and i'm living proof)), how he's so humble about everything, how he's so spontaneous and funny, and how night after night he puts on the best show he can and he's so passionate about what he does. John Mayer rocks and he's going to rock for a long time! He's got a fan forever! Rock on Johnny!!

I have been a JM fan ever since I first laid my hands on a copy of "Inside Wants Out" that I got from a guy at a coffee house here in Tampa years ago. Before any of my friends had even heard of him, I was crazy about John. I have seen John in concert four times...most recently this Sunday in Tampa w/Maroon 5 (who are also awesome)...and each and every time I see him, I can't believe how amazing he is!! Not only is he beautiful (he's a hunka hunka burnin' love.. ) he is also so very talented and intelligent. He is able to write songs that express how everyone feels at some pont in their lives. If there is ever a day that I am feeling down, all I have to do is listen to John, and my day is bright again :) Another thing about John and his music that impresses me, is that at every concert that I have been to, I have seen people of all generations. On Sunday, I took my Mom (who has also become obsessed) and I saw soooo many college-aged kids (like myself) with parents or little sisters and brothers...John's music spans the generations, and that is way I think he is so great. Everyone can relate to his lyrics and apppreciate what he does. To say that I love John Mayer would certainly be an understatement! He is the man of my dreams!! :)

In a world where there are some many artists to get people to write their songs, and don't mean one word of what they say, there is John Mayer. At first, I hated his song 'Your Body is a Wonderland'. Then, last summer, I fell in love with it. I don't know why. I downloaded a few of his songs, and knew that I had to get his CD. I went out and bought it, and never regretted it. I can honestly say that his albums are some of the best out there. He writes his own songs, and means what he says. Anyone who writes there own material deserves a quick glance. John deserves a nice, long stare. His songs captivate you. As I listened to each of his CD's (I own all four of them: Inside Wants Out, Room for Squares, Any Given Thursday, and Heavier Things), I begin to like the songs more and more. I find it impossible to find a song I don't like.
John's songs are just so... poetic, and true. So many people can relate to them. There is a song of his for every one of your moods. When you know you’ve screwed something up, there’s ‘My Stupid Mouth’. When you don’t know what’s wrong with you, there’s ‘Something’s Missing’. When you feel like your being held back by limitations, there’s ‘Bigger Than My Body’. I could go on and on. I got a few of my friends hooked and obsessed with John. It’s so hard not to like him. He has a great voice, catchy tunes, and lyrics that strike your heart. I got ‘Heavier Things’ on its first day out. I had all the songs memorized by the end of the day. I was worried I would wear the CD down. All of his CD’s are constantly in my CD player. Rarely do they leave it. Just as his CD’s are with my CD player, his songs will never leave me, and all his other fans.

I've had music around me all my life, and it's nice when something new and original comes along. When I heard "No Such Thing" for the first time, I was dying to know who sung it, because the voice was so different. I found out it was John and it got me excited about music again. There was so much crap out there. "Your Body is a Wonderland" is what got me addicted. It's such a cute little song that just puts a smile on my face every time I hear it. He writes such beautiful, thoughtful and personal songs that can appeal to everyone, as he's said in many interviews. I got Room For Squares then started hunting around for some of his earlier stuff because I couldn't find Inside Wants Out here in Canada. Watching my Any Given Thursday dvd became part of a daily ritual. He's hilarious and totally connects with his audience. I was lucky enough to see him in soncert on Valentine's Day this year and I had an awesome time. His guitar playing just blows me away, for a guy at such a young age, but it gives other young people encouragement to do the same, no matter what they want to accomplish.

My dream is to sing on stage with him, and I hope that some day it comes true. How can you not love a guy who is gorgeous, witty, a beautiful writer and on the verge of guitar god? (to me anyway ^.^) He's taught me to just be myself and do my own thing, and I love him for that. Thanks buckets, John! I love you to bits, and the rest of Canada too. *massive hugs*

I wasn't always a big John Mayer fan. I liked him and all, the music was great, but that was as far as things went. He's cute and all, but it really wasn't anything major. Then, it happened. I saw John in concert and I completely fell in love with him. He's an absolute guitar genius. Music has been a part of my life since I was in kindergarten, and I think that I have a pretty good idea of what sounds good and what doesn't. I was just completely blown away by his performance. I have become so infatuated with him simply because of his musical prowess. Now, listening to John has actually become a part of my daily routine, but I'm definitely not complaining. :)
